PAN-Aadhaar Linking Last Date
The Indian government has announced an extension of the deadline for linking Aadhaar with a Permanent Account Number (PAN) to 30 June 2023. The previous deadline was 31 March 2023. This extension comes as a relief to those who were unable to link their Aadhaar and PAN by the original deadline.
It is important to note that failure to link PAN with Aadhaar by 31 March 2022 will result in penalties. If the linking is done between 1 April 2022 and 30 June 2022, a fine of Rs. 500 will be imposed. However, if linking is done after 1 July 2022, the fine will increase to Rs. 1,000.
The government’s decision to extend the deadline is aimed at providing individuals with more time to complete the process of linking their Aadhaar with their PAN. Taxpayers who have not yet linked their Aadhaar with their PAN should take advantage of the extended deadline and complete the process before the new deadline of 30 June 2023. This will help avoid the penalties that could be imposed for non-compliance with the requirement. “Aadhaar and PAN Card link Online Process and Status | How to Check PAN Link with Aadhar?”
