Physical
Infrastructure – The Institute has adequate physical infrastructure (land
and building) that comprises class rooms, faculty rooms, laboratories,
library, computer centre, hostels, canteen, play grounds, indoor games
facility and residential quarters. |

Laboratories
– The Institute has separate laboratories for all subjects i.e. Physics,
Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science and Geography. All
laboratories are well equipped to meet the requirements of teaching and
learning as per the syllabus. |
ii. |
Library- The Institutes library is situated in a double storey building adjoining
Administrative block. The library is well stocked having nearly 40000
books related to different subjects. It also offers Book Bank facility to
all students. The Institute’s library also possesses a very good
collection of general interest books like Encyclopedias, Biographies,
Reports, Dictionaries, and Atlases etc. Institutes library subscribes 36
magazines, journals and periodicals and all major newspapers – local,
regional and national dailies. |

Play
Grounds and Indoor games facilities- The Institute provides indoor and
outdoor games and sports facilities to its students. There are two play
grounds which are used for playing footballs, hockey, Cricket, Kho-Kho and
for track and field events. There are separate courts for Kabbaddi and
Volleyball. Indoor facility for table tennis is also available. Facilities
are adequate to hold inter-collegiate tournaments. |

Hostel- There are three hostels situated in the premises of the Institute that can
accommodate 100 students. |

Residential
Quarters- Thirty One residential quarters are available for teaching staff
and eight quarters for class-IV staff |

Academic
Programmes- The Institute offers a wide range of undergraduate and post
graduate courses in the faculty of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management.
In addition to the regular courses. The Institute has the privilege of
hosting regular study centre of the internationally recognized
university IGNOU New Delhi. IGNOU offers a number of wide ranging degree,
diploma and certificate courses pertaining to Management, Computer
Application, Rural Development, Journalism, Library Science, etc. |

Teaching
– Institute gives top priority in holding regular classes. Classes are
engaged by well qualified and experienced faculty members. Vigorous efforts
are made to ensure maximum attendance of students enrolled for different
courses and personal and meaningful interaction with them is held on a
regular basis and the parents of the students are also appraised of the
progress of their wards periodically through personal contacts and
correspondance.The
lecture method of teaching is supplemented by group discussion, tutorials, guest
lectures, industrial visits and training, survey etc, particularly in BBM and
MSc. (Chemistry) courses. Audio visual aids are used for effective teaching.

The Institute enjoys the privilege of having been sanctioned remedial
coaching programme by the UGC, particularly for SC/ST students for last five
years and the programme is being conducted with utmost sincerity, efficiency and
professional commitment

The Institute undertakes various extension activities and has an employee
designated as Extension Organizer. The extension activities such as health and
hygiene awareness, adult education and literacy, AIDS awareness, environment
awareness etc. are carried out by NSS volunteers and students who choose to
study Rural Development & Extension and Rural Sociology as a part of
extension activities an Aanganwadi training centre has been functioning at the
Institute since Aug 16, 1982. This centre has been sanctioned by the Ministry of
Women and Child Development, Govt. of Rajasthan, Jaipur. This centre provides
job training and organizes refresher courses and orientation courses for
Aanganwadi workers and helpers. The main emphasis of the training is on women
and child nutrition, health, immunization and skill development.

Under the scheme the centre has already conducted refresher and
orientation courses which benefited aanganwadi workers till date. The overall
performance and the conduct of the various training programmes of the aanganwadi
centre has been rated as excellent and outstanding. |
